Genki Unno Dec 06, 2009 Tips & Tricks

On occasion, people ask me how to clean their laptops. To be honest, I'm not too good at cleaning the ones that get really dirty, the MacBook Whites, as I never really have owned one for any extended period of time.

But for those of you looking, here are some great tips from Gizmodo for those of you wondering how to clean your grimy MacBook Whites.

The Technology Support Team is available to help with the setup of audio for school functions!

If you need help with the set up of microphones, or sound boards, please email "AV Support" OR "Technology Support" on FirstClass. Please do not send direct emails for assistance to staff, even if you know who will be helping you. All communications should go through the system so it can be tracked. This will help to ensure you get the help you need. Your email to support will be addressed and given to the appropriate person on the Technology Support Team and a line of communication will be set up using the online ticket system via email or the website, http://support.yis.ac.jp.

Thank you for your help.

If you are interested in signing up for Animoto and take advantage of the full features for free, please sign up then apply for the educator's account. Just to clarify - First Step: Sign up here. Second Step: Fill out application form.

If you would like your students to register with an Animoto account, once you've signed up with Animoto for the classroom you will be sent a Classroom Code. To learn how to set your students up with All-Access via your Classroom Code read here.

Message from Animoto Education:

Children under 13 aren't allowed to register. How then can I have my younger students use this program?

To ensure that your younger students are protected, we suggest that you come up with dummy e-mails for them that are under your control. This way you can monitor the activities that go on under their Animoto accounts.

Message from YIS IT Department:

We have created 'dummy' or aliases for the grade levels Grades K-4 to use to register with Animoto once you've received your Classroom Code from Animoto. Please contact Christine for your grade level email address.
